"Knowing and living by correct principles is essential to a happy life and a happy marriage."

(Eternal Marriage: Student Manual, Religion 234 & 235)
"One of the most important things you can do...is to immerse yourselves in the scriptures. Search them diligently. Feast upon the words of Chris. Learn the doctrine. Master the principles that are found therein."

~President Ezra Taft Benson
"Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ."

(The Family: A Proclamation to the World)

The 4-Point Program

"If you want to obtain and keep the guidance of the Spirit, you can do so by following this simple four-point program. One, pray. Pray diligently. Pray with each other. Pray in public in the proper places...Learn to talk to the Lord; call upon his name in great faith and confidence. Second, study and learn the gospel. Third, live righteously; repent of your sins by confessing them and forsaking them. Then conform to the teachings of the gospel. Fourth, give service in the Church...If you will do these things, you will get the guidance of the Holy Spirit and you will go through this world successfully, regardless of what the people of the world say or do."
~President Marion G. Romney

Doctrine and Covenants 135:3

"Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it. In the short space of twenty years, he has brought forth the Book of Mormon, which he translated by the gift and power of God, and has been the means of publishing it on two continents; has sent the fullness of the everlasting gospel, which it contained, to the four quarters of the earth; has brought forth the revelations and commandments which compose this book of Doctrine and Covenants, and many other wise documents and instructions for the benefit of the children of men; gathered many thousands of the Latter-day Saints, founded a great city, and left a fame and name that cannot be slain. He lived great, and he died great in the eyes of God and his people; and like most of the Lord’s anointed in ancient times, has sealed his mission and his works with his own blood; and so has his brother Hyrum. In life they were not divided, and in death they were not separated!"
